Gaming Club (8 to 17 year olds) at Moe Library 2024

Love to game but want to hang out with your mates while you do it? Join our after-school social gaming club for 8 to 17 year olds for just that!

Bring a friend or make a new one at this one and a half hour session to test your gaming skills with people just like you. There are Playstation consoles and heaps of games to choose from so all you have to do is pick a game and a partner and get busy playing. We’ll even throw in some snacks.

Weekly on a Wednesday through school term time.

This program will be supervised by a member of the library team, and they’d love to hear what other gaming activities we can run in the future too.

Note: Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activity.

Afternoon Tea at Moe Library 2024

Sharing a meal is how people around the world come together to meet each other, catch up or try something new.

We’re inviting you to the Moe Library on the fourth Friday of the month to provide an afternoon tea for the community. You don’t need to know anybody to come along, but you’re welcome to bring a friend or two if you like!

Bookings are required as places are limited. We will provide a range of foods to cater to dietary requirements.

If you’re looking for more free food you can:

  • Grab a piece of free fruit, tea or coffee at the library any time
  • Take an item from our Food Share Latrobe boxes

Author Talk with Alison Goodman

Alison Goodman will speak about the four qualities you need for a writing career in Australia, the process of publication and how to get your name up on a billboard in Times Square.

A Melbourne based writer of fantasy and historical fiction, Alison is the author of eight novels including her latest release The Benevolent Society of Ill-Mannered Ladies which was a Washington Post and an Amazon Best Mystery Book of 2023.

Alison Goodman is a Melbourne based writer of fantasy and historical fiction. She is the author of eight novels including her latest release The Benevolent Society of Ill-Mannered Ladies which was a Washington Post and an Amazon Best Mystery Book of 2023. Her novels also include the award-winning Lady Helen trilogy, and EON and EONA, a New York Times bestselling fantasy duology. Alison has recently completed her PhD focusing on creative writing, historical research and the Regency era and is currently working on the third novel in the Ill-Mannered Ladies series. She is fuelled by strong coffee and air-fried chips, and will travel a long way for a good high tea.
